I stood up and defended Sam Houston at an HISD meeting at the school about it being closed down. I called Ms. Kamrani a traitor for voting to close the school so her husband’s YES Academy could take it over. She attended a meeting to discuss closing the school but she and others had already voted to do so. I also helped students and parents formulate their complaints and questions. One question by an wheelchair bound student who asked why she did not have access to the building (via ramps). I made the paper.
