My parents sold their home in 1981 and left Houston.

Do you see or hang out with any class mates? Who?

Debbie Inglis Haines, class of 71, have been out of Houston for so many years, that I have lost touch with most.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

You would be surprised to know that I married a farmer that I met at Texas A&M. This CITY GAL learned how to drive a tractor, sow wheat, work cattle and ride horses. I learned how to grow my own food, how to can, make my own jelly, made everything from scratch. We lived almost 2 hours from any really good stores, even that far for groceries.

Tin Hall or Bill Mraz.

School Story:

Loved being in Houstonettes, played the cymbals and snare drum.

What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?

I truly only wanted to be a wife and mother. Went to Texas A&M for 1 semester, met Jerry and married a few months later. I did return to college in 1999. I obtained an Associates Degree in Business Management in 2002 from Tarrant County College and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 2004. I even graduated summa cum laude, a fete I am still very proud of.

What and where was your 1st job? Do you remember how much you were paid?

Graduated on Friday, started at Northwest Trane A/C on Monday as Office Manager. My 1st salary was $400 per month.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

Hubert Humphrey, Phil Graham, Kay Bailey Hutchinson; really into politics so I have met lots of big names politicians in my trips to DC.

Ever been on TV? Tell us all about it.

Yes, local TV in Lubbock representing the Lubbock Health Department after we won a grant for an elementary school.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Sew, crafting.

Name something you dearly love. and why?

Besides my husband, that would be my daughter Kristi. She lives around the corner from me, we spend much of our spare time together, even vacation together. Never dreamed my best friend would be my daughter.
