After retiring from the Army and with the benefit of the VA and SSA I am living very comfortable in Corpus Christi Hoping all that I have known or those I have yet to meet are just as thankful for our Armed Forces keeping our freedoms safe.

Where was your favorite HS hangout?

Karen Wilson's House...Would Love to reconnect. I had heard she had been married after graduating from Texas A&M.

School Story:

Stopped attending in Nov. '73 since I had all the credits necessary to graduate. Spent my HS time focused on Karen Wilson, working at Food Giant, and lastly school work. I dove a white VW bug which I usually parked on the back side of school on Hardy most days as Karen was living out past FM1960 off of Highway 59 so we would be late getting to school. Joined the Army in March of '74 and was in Ft Sill, OK on the day of the Graduation Ceremony (asked for a pass but it was denied).
What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?

I realized working in a grocery store was not going to be the type of job the would pay the bills. So I joined the Army with the idea I could use the VA to go to college afterwards. Had intentions to marry Karen Wilson but she had other plans. So after 20 Years I retired From the Army.

What and where was your 1st job? Do you remember how much you were paid?

Family is what I love. I haven't always been the easiest person to love however I have always loved and will continue to love family regardless of their actions, beliefs, or location.

Is there a moment in your life that stands out? A moment that defines who you are? Other than kids being born or your wedding day.

I served 20 years to protect American's rights and now I see how some Americans are treading on the rights of other Americans. Part of my military oath is to "defend against all enemies both foreign and domestic" so I am saddened to see what our country is going through today.
