I study Spanish and currently am taking piano lessons and am active in the Texas Association of Structural Movers along with my husband, James.

Granada Theater, Bailey's and Prince's Drive-ins

School Story:

I was not a Houstonette but had friends who were. Once I wore a Houstonette uniform and sat with them in the stadium and no one ever noticed, not even the captain, Mary Ferguson.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

I met and worked temporarily for a gentleman, George Marlo, in New York who was an executive with Broadcast Music Inc. I also met an executive vice president for American Express in Mexico and he took myself and my husband in to hear their guest speaker, Gerald Ford. I was also present when George Bush #43 gave his accetance speech in Austin when he won the govenorship.We once met George Hamilton at the Miss USA contest where my daughter, Jamie, worked.

Ever been on TV? Tell us all about it.

Once we marched to protest property tax increases and it was televised on the evening news.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Read Spanish, Play the piano and most of all play with my grandchildren

Name something you dearly love. and why?

I am truly grateful for all that God has given me and done for me in my lifetime. I love life.

Comments:

I enjoy seeing old friends and wish that I could see some of my friends from high school that I have lost contact with. I received my degree from Sam Houston State, taught school for 3 years, had 3 children and helped my husband work in his house moving business.
