Where was your favorite HS hangout?

Northline Mall.

School Story:

At Sam Houston I was in the Meistersingers Choir as was my wife Sherri. Although, she attended earlier than I did. We continue to sing, she has made many albums, we have been on TBN and Daystar.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

Brett Favre attended a meeting that I preached in Kiln, Mississippi just after being traded to Green Bay from Atlanta. Very nice person.
Governor Perry attended the wedding that I preached for Clay Walker. We spent about two hours together that day.
Tracy Lawerence sang at the reception for that wedding. We had an opportunity to talk and visit.

Ever been on TV? Tell us all about it.

I have been on television many times, TBN and Daystar.

Comments:

I have literally been all over the world, at least from here to China, since leaving Sam Houston. I left a year early, was supposed to graduate in 1969, took a college entrance exam and on the strength of it was accepted at Southwestern, then UCLA, and Oklahoma State, certified in Bio-Medical Research. I pastor a church in Honey Island, Texas now, continue to work in advisory capacity with a medical research company.
My wife's mother, Martha Risher, continues to live in the old neighborhood, so we get to visit there often. Sad to see Sam Houston closed down.
While pastoring in Beaumont, one of our kids there, Clay Walker, developed a deep relationship with our family. He continues today to be a close friend.
