"Stay Close, Get Fed Some friends of ours like to feed the birds when they go to the beach. On one occasion, they tell us, a large flock of birds gathered to receive the food the couple had brought. The birds ate and then left. Our friends went back to their beach chairs to relax then later got up to feed the birds again. And again, the birds returned for food, ate what they wanted, and left. But in between the feedings, our friends noticed that one little bird remained behind when the others left. They gave this little one more food. And the more food they gave him, the closer he stayed to them. This went on all day. Every time they turned around, they saw this little bird waiting patiently for more food. And they did not disappoint him. What a wonderful picture of the hunger we should have for God! The psalmist used the imagery of a timid, thirsty animal to depict the intensity of desire we should have for God: “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God” (Ps. 42:1). James said if we will draw near to God, He will draw near to us. When we draw near to God, He satisfies our thirst with the water of life and feeds us with the living bread. When that begins to happen in our lives, people will begin to wonder how we can have so much peace, joy and contentment in our hearts. The answer will be that we have learned to stay close to God. For such a time as this,"

"Remember God's Goodness In Lamentations 3, Jeremiah was nothing short of depressed. But instead of wallowing in it, he remembered God. When he began to turn his thoughts toward the goodness of God – in spite of the fact that he couldn’t see God’s goodness at the moment – he started to feel differently about the mess he was in. In fact in verse 18 of Lamentation 3, Jeremiah lets us know that he has lost all hope. And yet we see his hope return when he returns his thoughts toward God. We read, “Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness. Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I have hope in Him.’” (Lamentations 3:19-25) Friend, God can take a mess and make a miracle if you put your hope in Him. He promises that, “those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” (Isaiah 49:23) In fact, God is able to turn things around so completely and satisfy you so fully that He will do more than merely bring you out of your emotional bondage. He can even cause you to forget how deep it ever was. I know your hopelessness may seem overwhelming and you may even wonder how you could ever overcome it, but if you will do as Abraham did – who hoped when he had none at all … “In hope against all hope he believed,” (Romans 4:18) God will honor your trust. He can turn your emotional pain into victorious gain. Be encouraged, Tony Evans"

Always pray to have the eyes that see the best in people
A heart that forgives the worst
A mind that forgets the bad
And a soul that never loses faith in God !!

Is there a moment in your life that stands out? A moment that defines who you are? Other than kids being born or your wedding day.

In 1976~~I acepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and along with my husband was baptised in the Rio Grande river.
You see I had known about Jesus and His life for most of my life, had attended church regularly but until I asked Jesus into my heart, I did not Know Him~~~Do you know my Friend Jesus ? If not ask me and I will introduce you to Him---It will be the best thing you do in your life !!
