dsc_0029.jpg [img][/img]Hey Connie...Let's see if we can get a thread started here for just conversing....if anything is for anybody's eyes only I will email them privately...so, no need to be afraid what I might ask ya', or what I might say. hahaa,

Gonna see if I can attach a file here also....I just noticed that it can be done.

I am heading out to take some pics today, and hope to get some sunset pics also...so, a whole day to myself....yaaaay!
Now, let's see if I can post a pic. on this "thread"

I don't know what is gonna happen...will holler at you later this eve. I'm outta here.

That's a great idea to post your pic with your post. It is more personal to me. Even though we know who you are it is like being in an actual conversation. Good going Sherri. I need to get an updated pic of myself. I let my hair grow out and it is different ( just thinner and greyer).

Hi Catherine...I need a more recent pic of me up there...I think that one there now is a couple years old....

I love seeing pics of everyone from school...some post pics ...fairly current...but I haven't seen anyone since I left Texas in 1995.... & without an early picture of them, I still don't recognize anyone.....we all change so much.

...I tried to attach a picture on here yesterday to Connie, (of a sunset just to see if it works), but didn't have any luck...Don't know why these sites are so hard to navigate, LOL...another word (mine) for reunion is "getting older".....you would think they would make things just a little easier for us. hahaaaa.

Morning Connie...I do too. I would be glad to help them .....I know ....rather I feel like several people have digital cameras, and do take pics....but I can't understand why they won't post. We all have to learn...as Lord knows you know I had a heck of a time trying to learn to post on the Sam site...and now I probably have over 15,000 posts over there. hahhaaaa....I couldn't have done it without help. So I wouldn't think anyone was dumb if they didn't know how to do it.....If they knew everything right off the top of their heads....then I would be afraid of them. LOL

And how is your morning? I am going to try again to post a pic to you...got a fairly decent sunrise this morning out my back door....will try something different this time to get it posted in this thread. so, we'll see.

Let me see if this works...hahaa...This is going to be a "hunt & peck" kinda thing.

This was taken this morning out my back door...still in my nightgown and barefooted ...hahaaa.

might have to click on this link...I don't know

p.s.,....thanks...I really do get some pretty sunrises out my back door.

To see the beautiful sunrise reminds me of a few I saw during my Navy days. A Caribbean sunset or sunrise will almost take your breath away. Some in the Ozarks ALMOST compare. The most beautiful I have seen have been in the Rockies. I am in the delta area and miss the beauty you have shown.

Good Morning Steven...thanks for your comments...I do love catching the sunrises and sunsets...

And you are in the Delta area....I love the "swamp" music and Blues of the Delta areas. I am up here in Tennessee....and some other sunrises and sunsets that are very nice are up at Gatlinburg....in the Smokies.

What year are you from at Sam Houston? I will see if I can find you a couple other sunrises or sunsets...just to "change the scenery":)

I am going to post more sunrises once I get to the folder and find a few. I like sunsets also and may post them..

How about your year of graduation? 68 or 69? I have seen Connie Redden and others post to you on the other Sam site.

I am about 25 miles from Helena/West Helena. Have not gotten to experience the Blues Festival there yet. My pastoral duties always seem to crop up when it is being held. I am from the class of '70.

I was shocked at some of the names of those who had passed on from the classes of 69 and 70. My older brother graduated in 66. I am the only of my family to leave Texas. I have kids scattered near and far - Nampa, Idaho to Houston to Morrilton, Arkansas.

Have a great day!

Steve

On the other Sam site...I think class of '65 had the highest number of deaths...and yes, it is so sad.....I saw many names I recognized...and some from my classes that really saddened me. (all do...but some of class of 65 I had hung around with, or had crushes on, etc.

Do you remember?
Posted Friday, April 10, 2009 11:26 AM
Do you remember Cheryl Crumpler from the class of 65? We work together in the same accounting group. I am from the class of 69. Looking forward to the 40th reunion.

I will check out the little league photos....I was just looking at a CD that a friend made of all of us on our get togethers (from his movie camera....that he somehow burned to a CD.......this one was on July 4th 1985.  I looked so young.

Well, the way I see it...why work if you can't have a little spending money for the "things you want"...  I love Hobby Lobby...but I found out one thing....NEVER take your husband with you if you can help it...I made that mistake...was the worst 10 min. of my life.  hahahaa. I made him go to the truck as if he was 7 years old....and just wait for me ...So now when I want to go somewhere ....without him....I tell him "now I am going to stop by Hobby Lobby, ...are you sure you want to go with me?"  hahahaha works everytime.  Hobby Lobby or Walmart.  doesn't matter.

Now I try to shop where there is a bar within range.....then I just drop him at a Ruby Tuesday's or TGI Fridays...any place with a bar....and I can spend as much time as I like looking at what he calls cheap junk...or Arts and CRAP!  LOL

What did y'a buy?

Am I missing something here? My wife has to drag ME out of Hobby Lobby and WalMart! I do almost all of the shopping and cooking and I knoew most prics better than she does. If we go to Kroger, she will ask me, "What does this cost elsewhere?" before it goes in the buggy. LOL

No, I don't reckon' you're missing anything..  You're just one of those rare men that likes to shop.  Got any good recipes?  LOL

My husband likes dim lights, thick smoke, country classic music and neon signs...if you get my drift.  LOL

I can't believe that of the 424 people from the class of 1964 I am the only one that has filled out a profile...Has everyone else dropped off the face of the earth?  LOL

and what do you look at in HL?  I rarely see men in mine and never my hubby.  he is like sherri's.  and I hate talking him grocery shopping because he will tell me he will get in line and i am running thru the store trying to get stuff before he gets up to the register.

and this is sherri telling Connie something. (but it could be for everybody   )  I am having a hard time trying to figure out who is talking to who on here...so, from now on instead of clicking on reply...let's click on "Quoted reply" (right beside REPLY....so it will include what we are replying to)...That is not an order or a command...I am just going to start doing this...because I was backing up thru the replies to see which one Connie's reply went with the best.  LOL

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday....And bought foam core "board"  and a dozen different mats to frame my pictures with.  The Library in UC called the other day, and wanted our Photo club to submit some of our best ones for their display window in the foyer of the library...Should turn out real good if every one will just participate.

If they have enough to fill the space I will take some pics to show you
