Most Senior Class Grad (1940's?)

Searching for the grad that could represent the oldest year in the school's history.  (This person may also be the eldest living SHHS grad.) This individual would likely have graduated in the 1940's when the school was located downtown.  The purpose of the search is relative to the upcoming historical marker dedication ceremony.  If you have suggestions for locating this special Tiger, please contact me.

My uncle, Bill G. Barefield, graduated from the old Sam Houston around 1947.  He is still "alive and kickin' " !!!   Cathy Davis Roper ('68)

I recently met a gentleman who graduated from Sam Houston in the 1940s.  His name was Tony Savaggio and he was evidently quite a baseball player back then.  Interesting aside to this story, I actually met him while accompanying my Mother to her monthly Jeff Davis High School Alumnae Luncheon.  She graduated in 1947!  Every month about 20 of the most lively, fun, talkative bunch of interesting people you'd ever want to know know meet for lunch and talk about the old days.  And actually, my Mom is one of the younger people there!  Their eyes just light up as they tell their stories of those times -
